Enlarged Erie Canal Locks 5-8 are located in the southern tip of the City of Cohoes, NY, on the property of Norlite, LLC. Locks 5-7 are buried under the working area of the Norlite property. Lock 8, at the northern edge of the property, is still mostly above ground, although surrounded by brush and trees.

The current remains of Enlarged Erie Canal Lock Nos. 6-7 are buried under the working area of the Norlite property, with only a few stones of Lock 6 visible.
The remains of Enlarged Erie Canal Lock No. 8 are located at the northern edge of the working area of the Norlite property.
