The remains of Lock 9 are located at the south end of George Street Park, just southwest of Spring Street and north of Alexander Street. The house just to the east of the lock is the old locktender's house (with subsequent additions).
Only one wall of Lock 10 remains after the rest was dismantled in the 1950s. It is located near the south end of Lancaster Street in George Street Park, between Central Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.
Very little of Lock 11 remains today. North of George Street and west of St. Rita Lane, it is behind a church building, mostly filled in. Most of the west outer wall of the western lock chamber is intact, with both gate pocket recesses still in place; the southeast-most gate pocket of the overall lock structure lies beneath the pulpit of the northwest corner of the church.
Like Lock 11, very little of Lock 12 remains today. Between Carter Avenue and Sandusky Street, it is now mostly located underneath the Cohoes Fire Department. A short section of two walls remain visible on the hillside to the south.

Between Columbia and Ontario Streets, the canal ran along the east side of Bedford Street. Lock 13 was about halfway down Bedford Street on the east side, just south of White Street. At present, its remains are buried under a multi-bay garage and, except for a few stones alongside the building, are not visible.
The remains of Lock 14 are located just off of Bedford Street, north of Standish Place and behind the north end of the bowling alley, and east of the Cohoes Heritage Trail. The southern end is visible, but the northern end is mostly filled in and badly overgrown, thus not visible from above. Lock 15 is connected to Lock 14 by way of the Enlarged Erie Canal towpath.
Enlarged Erie Canal Lock no. 15 is located southeast of the intersection of Vliet Street and Harmony Street, and is in good condition. The Lock is just east of the Cohoes Heritage Trail. The small house to its southeast is the old locktender's house.

Built between 1836 and 1841, the double lock was put into service on April 20, 1842. Built largely of "Amsterdam stone", the lock was in service until about 1916.
According to the HAER report, dated 25 August 1969, "the portion of the lock owned by the City of Cohoes is being filled in because of alleged danger to children."
The privately owned portion "will be preserved in its present state."
